I have a Galvin in my tree. There were numerous Galvins in County Clare Ireland through the 1800s. My Galvin came during the height of the famine in 1847. She married an O’Hara, also from Ireland that same year. Their grandson went on to become president of Notre Dame and then later, a Cardinal.
